The recent data breach at Microsoft has sent shockwaves through the cybersecurity community. On July 11, 2023, the tech giant disclosed that a group of hackers gained unauthorized access to some customers' email systems to gather intelligence. Government agencies and individuals in the United States and Europe were targeted. 

The hackers exploited a vulnerability in Microsoft's cloud email service, using stolen credentials to access additional accounts. They stole sensitive data, including emails, documents, and confidential information.

We are writing to alert you about the recent MOVEit data breach that has impacted a number of organizations, including major energy giant Shell and U.S.-based First Merchants Bank. The widely exploited vulnerability in Progress Software’s MOVEit file transfer service has affected more than 200 organizations, with at least 33 data breach disclosures, impacting over 17.5 million individuals.
